Turbine
Rating
The turbine rating is aimed at the market segment
of pilots who would like to qualify themselves
in the professional market or to do a specific
type rating.
Requirements: Hold a valid private pilot licence.
General: The turbine rating consists of the
following:
- Day 1: Ground school where the technical aspects
of the aircraft flown will be dealt with as well
as the turbine operations and constraints.
- Day 2: Flying where the differences in turbine
operations will be illustrated as well as the
normal type conversion. The hours required
for a turbine conversion will largely depend on your
previous experience. Normally a student will
fly between 2 to 5 hours. Should a student
require more training it will be charged on a pro rata
basis.
Training aircraft:
The student will after the conversion be type
rated on a C208B Caravan.
Payment Terms: "Pay as you go" Client
will need to have a minimum credit balance of
R1000 at all times.
